The Józef Marcinkiewicz Centenary Conference
Second Announcement
We kindly remind that the Józef Marcinkiewicz Centenary Conference will be held in Poznań
(Poland) from June 28-th till July 2-nd 2010. All the relevant and current information can be
found at www.jm100.amu.edu.pl. We would like to remind also some important dates.
April 30 is the last day for the registration. Whoever has made the registration is kindly
requested to check if his/her name is on the list of participants (please inform the organizers,
sending an e-mail to jm100@amu.edu.pl, when your name will not appear on the list after
several days from registration). Please remember that accompanying person must also register
and pay half the conference fee which, paid before April 15, is 150 euros for participants from
abroad and 400 PLN for participants from Poland (from April 16 to May 28-th, the deadline
for payment, the conference fee is 200 euros and 500 PLN respectively). The payment have to
be made through a money transfer to the following account:

Bank commissions has to be covered by the participant (please, check it). After you have made the bank transfer, please scan the receipt and send it by e-mail to jm100@amu.edu.pl.
The participants who are going to present 25-minute talk need to submit a title and an abstract before April 30, 2010. Using e-mail and a password which you received while registering please log in to your conference account at www.jm100.amu.edu.pl and then you can update your data and submit an abstract prepared in LaTeX (please make the file as simple as possible). The title should be preceded by the name of a section where the talk will be delivered (there are six sections: Interpolation of spaces and operators, Singular operators, Fourier series and approximation by polynomials, Systems of orthogonal functions, Probability theory, Historical section; please check which section is possibly the nearest to a topic of the talk).
The organizers offer an accommodation, in a single room, in the student hostels ‘Zbyszko’ and ‘Jowita’ located in the center of the city. The hostels provide most of the hotel-type services and you will find it quite comfortable but such items as TV, individual phones, internet, hair dryer will not be available. The place of conference meetings can be easily reached by public means of transport. Approximate price of a room is 25 euros (‘Zbyszko’) and 40 euros (‘Jowita’) per day. The participants who are going to accept the proposal of lodging in hostels are asked to confirm that they are interested in such type of accommodation (since the number of rooms in hostels is limited please send a short e-mail to jm100@amu.edu.pl as quickly as possible). For information about alternative accommodation in Poznan look at the conference web site. The hotels ‘Mercure’ and ‘Novotel Centrum’, located in the center, offer a special price for the participants of the conference, 85 and 65 euros respectively – the participants should book rooms at hotels by themselves and while booking a room should refer to their participation in the conference).
